> British police forces, including specialist units within the Metropolitan Police, have used Oxygen Forensics software to break into the phones of suspects during live investigations, public documents show. The Virginia-based company behind the software has been [2]accused in the US of having hidden its Russian ownership to avoid sanctions, before it was awarded government contracts. Its American chief executive and a Russian national were arrested last week after a US investigation [3]found the company had sought to hide its ownership in an alleged attempt to avoid sanctions and scrutiny .

> [...] By September 2024, the US Secret Service had awarded Oxygen a five-year contract for its software. In December 2022, and in October 2023, Oxygen's chief executive told the US government that Oxygen Forensics had "no immediate or highest-level owner." By September 2024, the US Secret Service had awarded Oxygen a five-year contract for its software. In March, Mr Reiber allegedly told the US government that there had been no Russians involved in developing the software and that no one in Russia had access to the environment in which it was built. US prosecutors say this was false. If convicted, both Mr Reiber and Mr Davydov could face a sentence of 20 years in prison.

I understand why some of the 77 million people voted for Trump even though he is an obvious pedophile and Russian stooge. It's not economic anxiety like the dipshit left-wing keeps going on about. People under enormous economic pressure makes stupid decisions. People do not make good decisions under pressure. That's why people in the military and bomb disposal people and SWAT teams get a shitload of training. Well not the SWAT teams we just send those in willy-nilly guns blazin but you get the idea...
But I know the people around here are smart enough to know that voting for a pedophile was a bad idea. And you did it anyway. Because I know there are a shitload of right-wingers around here.
I would be curious if I could use a ray gun to force people like that to honestly answer why they voted for and continue to support Donald Trump and right wing policies that hurt them directly in general. My theory is that they're terrible people who enjoy the horrible things Trump and project 2025 are doing and so far they have personally escaped most of the damage if not all of it because they are older and we have mostly taken care of the baby boomers and older Gen x since the Republicans still do need them to vote for them.
I could also be giving these people too much credit they could be just as confused or just as dumb as the other 77 million who thought they would get cheap eggs from a guy known as the king of debt who has bankrupted every company he's ever been involved with...
But if you're hanging around this forum as ridiculous as it sounds you are probably smarter than the average American. And Jesus fucking Christ that is a little bar to clear but you have at least cleared that bar so I don't think I'm going to let you off the hook
