Thursday the Free Software Foundation [1]announced plans for a celebratory hackathon in November to improve free/libre software "in honor of its fortieth anniversary.

As part of its celebrations, the organization is inviting the wider free software community (both projects and individual contributors) to participate in a global, online hackathon to help improve important libre software projects.

Common command line arguments (Score:2)

I'd like to help with standard command line arguments.
Use soft-linked command like "foo-old" to invoke using traditional command line arguments, for compatibility.
Having trouble viewing [1]Option Table [gnu.org]
But if there's enough agreement between maintainers the programming is relatively straight forward.

Hell no I'm not attending because I don't want Richard Stallman to beat me with his shoe if I accidentally say Linux instead of GNU/Linux.
And btw, I would have won the hackathon too, for this script:
