Of course we understand that. The muscovite midget is trying to recreate the Soviet Union, believing he is entitled to everything which it previously ruled. The problem is, what he considers Tribe and Land is a farce. He keeps referring to Ukrainians as his "brothers", yet everyday he's killing those very "brothers" (and sisters. Not to mention raping those sisters). If he is so concerned about his "brothers", why is he killing them?
He's the typical, delusional ruler of Russia. His country hasn't advanced in any meaningful way in the past 100 years and his two week military operation shows it. He has nothing but contempt for the people of Russia, many of whom don't even have running water or toilets in their hovels. With all that money Russia has received from oil sales over the decades, one would have thought their streets would be paved in gold. Instead, he and his cronies siphon off billions for their own benefit, leaving the people to scrap for whatever is left.
His country is so weak, it's now resorting to using [1]North Korean soldiers [newsweek.com] to fill the depleted ranks of his military, not to mention using [2]strategic nuclear force troops as infantry [newsweek.com].
The faster we give Ukraine the weapons it needs, the sooner this will be over. They've already shown they can strike targets 1,000 km inside Russia with their own homemade weapons, imagine how impactful western weapons can be against the inept Russian forces.
