"It is critical we meet the highest standards for compliance, trust, and security to protect hundreds of millions of users of our products, enable democratic institutions to maximally benefit from these technologies, and drive the development of safe AGI for the world."

For those who don't know what Palantir is (Score:3)
it's a huge information warehouse available only to the ultra wealthy they can use to do background checks on us plebs so we can't rip them off as often. Also it gives them access to dirt on any up and coming rivals that haven't made it into the big boys club yet.

Social media analytics and intelligence, their biggest customer is the US Government.
It's more like pin-pointing where people in certain organizations are on a map based on their digital activity.

There's a lot about OpenAI that doesn't sit well. A former exec from a disgusting company joining OpenAI is just another case of disgusting companies associated with OpenAI.
