La 34e et dernière journée du championnat d’Allemagne avait lieu, samedi après-midi. Plusieurs Belges participaient à celle-ci, notamment dans la course au maintien en bas de classement qui a finalement souri à Stuttgart et Orel Mangala, qui se sont imposés face à Cologne, 2-1, alors que le Hertha Berlin de Dedryck Boyata s’est incliné à Dortmund, 2-1 et disputera les barrages.

Avec son capitaine Dedryck Boyata, le Hertha avait besoin d’un point pour s’assurer le maintien, alors que Stuttgart était à ses trousses. Les Berlinois ont pris l’initiative en ouvrant le score: l’ancien Standardman Ishak Belfodil, accroché par Zagadou dans la surface, s’est fait justice lui-même en transformant un pénalty (0-1, 18e). Pour son dernier match sous la vareuse jaune, Erling Haaland a égalisé sur pénalty (1-1, 68e), avant que Moukoko ne donne l’avantage tardivement aux hôtes (2-1, 84e), au grand désespoir des visiteurs.

[2] Titulaire, Axel Witsel a disputé 83 minutes avant de sortir sous les applaudissements du stade, tandis qu’il quittera le club à la fin de la saison. Thomas Meunier est resté sur le banc et Thorgan Hazard ne figurait pas sur la feuille de match, blessé au dos. Du côté des visiteurs, Boyata a disputé toute la rencontre.

Suspense



Dans le duel à distance, Sasa Kaladzic a ouvert le score pour Stuttgart de la tête sur le corner consécutif à son penalty manqué (1-0, 12e), mais Anthony Modeste a remis les équipes à égalité (1-1, 60e). Alors que le Hertha Berlin s’inclinait à Dortmund, Stuttgart a puisé dans ses ressources pour arracher la victoire au bout du suspense, grâce à un but d’Endo (2-1, 90e+2), épargnant ainsi le VfB des barrages pour le maintien en Bundesliga.

Orel Mangala a disputé l’entièreté de la rencontre dans l’entrejeu de Stuttgart, et pourra donc disputer la saison prochaine dans l’élite du football allemand avec son club tandis que Boyata devra défendre sa place en Bundesliga dans un barrage face au 3e de 2e division.

L’Arminia Bielefeld, sans Nathan De Medina, a tenu tête à Leipzig, 1-1, bien qu’il eût besoin de largement remporter la rencontre et voir une défaite de Stuttgart pour accrocher la place de barragiste. Bielefeld accompagne donc Greuther Furth en 2e division, après deux saisons disputées dans l’élite.

Le Bayern accroché



Avec Koen Casteels de retour dans les cages, le brassard au bras, Wolfsbourg a partagé l’enjeu face au champion munichois (2-2). Le Bayern a ouvert le score via Josip Stanisic (0-1, 17e), avant que Lewandowski ne double l’avance (0-2, 40e) avec ce qui pourrait être son dernier but avec le maillot du Bayern. Wind a réduit l’écart juste avant le repos (1-2, 45e+2) et Kruse a rétabli l’égalité au retour des vestiaires (2-2, 58e).

Trois Belges étaient assis sur le banc des Loups alors que Koen Casteels a disputé toute la rencontre sur la ligne de but. Aster Vranckx est monté au jeu à la 72e minute, de même que Sebastiaan Bornauw dans les arrêts de jeu (90e+1), mais Dodi Lukebakio est resté en survêtement jusqu’au coup de sifflet final. Wolfsbourg termine le championnat en milieu de tableau, à la 12e place, avec 42 points.
