Un homme armé d'un couteau s'en prend à des policiers dans le coeur de Londres

Un homme de 29 ans armé d'un couteau a été arrêté lundi après s'en être pris à deux policiers à Londres, non loin de Downing street, un incident qui n'a pas fait de blessés et n'est pas considéré comme de nature terroriste, selon la police.

Le suspect a été placé en garde à vue pour tentative de meurtre et possession d'arme, a déclaré Scotland Yard dans un communiqué.

Les faits se sont produits peu avant 9H00 à Horse Guards Parade, une esplanade qui jouxte l'arrière de Downing Street, la résidence du Premier ministre Boris Johnson.

Les policiers ont utilisé un Taser et le suspect a été maîtrisé, a précisé Scotland Yard, qui a lancé un appel à témoins.
