There are storage scaling challenges, then there are Workday storage challenges

Webinar Management software giant Workday runs a private cloud across five data centers, with a compute core count that currently stands at one million and is doubling year on year.

With 150TB of images downloaded weekly, during a frighteningly small maintenance window, it needs a storage platform that is distributed, scalable and reliable, with support for block and object storage.
