VMware is hunting for a new vice-president and managing director for Australia and New Zealand.
Incumbent Alister Dias has been promoted to vice-president for software-defined data centres across Asia Pacific and Japan.
A statement sent to The Register said: “We congratulate Alister on his new role and know he will make an impact at the APJ level. In the meantime our ANZ senior leadership team will take responsibility for managing the local business, as we go through the process of identifying the best replacement for the local leadership position.”
Dias’ new role will see him take responsibility for growing VMware’s software-defined data centre business, “by working with customers to help transform their businesses.” He will continue to report Duncan Hewett, VMware’s senior vice president and managing director for the region.
