For those interested in the [1]SpacemiT K3 as one of the few RVA23 RISC-V SoCs readily available so far and in the likes of the [2]K3 Pico-ITX system, more improvements for its upstream kernel support are coming in Linux 7.4.
A pull request was sent out with Device Tree updates for the SpacemiT hardware for Linux 7.4. With Linux 7.4 there is CPU scaling support now enabled for more hardware, the RFKILL node is now enabled, and thermal and fan control support is now present. That thermal sensor and fan control support is for the CTF2301 sensor chip found on the SpacemiT K3 CoM260 system-on-module.
The SpacemiT Muse Pi Pro, Orange Pi R2S, and Orange Pi RV2 SpacemiT-based SBCs all see CPU scaling support now enabled with these Device Tree additions for Linux 7.4.
The K1 SoC support also now has enabled onboard EEPROM support and support for setting the MAC address from the EEPROM data.
