Lots Of New Audio Hardware Support In Linux 7.3

Linux sound subsystem maintainer Takashi Iwai of SUSE submitted all of the sound feature updates last week for the Linux 7.3 kernel. Besides the continued AI/LLM-generated patch churn, the sound code for Linux 7.3 sees a lot of new hardware support.
New sound platform support with Linux 7.3 includes the AMD ACP7.B/F, Cirrus Logic CS35L62, Loongson 2K0300, Meson GX, Qualcomm LPI MI2S, SM8475, WSA855X, Realtek RT1321 VA1/2 and RT766/7. Quite varied with the typical more Realtek sound ICs and a lot of more niche platforms, new Qualcomm support, and also new AMD Audio Co-Processor IP. The AMD Sound Open Firmware support for the ACP7.B/ACP7.F appears to be for next-gen Ryzen laptops. The ACP7.B/ACP7.F builds atop the existing AMD ACP SOF infrastructure and doesn't appear to be too vastly different from existing ACP7 IP.
The sound pull for Linux 7.3 also landed AW88399 HD-audio side codec support for newer Lenovo Legion gaming laptops, support for Hygon and Lisuan HDMI controllers, and various quirks/fixes. On the quirks side are better handling of different Realtek and Conexant codecs found in different ASUS, Lenovo, and Acer laptops.
On the USB audio side is support for the [1]Pioneer DJ DJM-S11 as a professional scratch style 2-channel DJ mixer. The Pioneer DJ DJM-S11 retails for around $2269 USD.
