Updated Coreboot/Dasharo For MSI PRO Z690-A / Z790-P Motherboards, Adds Overclocking

In addition to [1]3mdeb providing their Coreboot-based Dasharo built atop AMD openSIL on a Gigabyte EPYC server motherboard and recently [2]making their first Dasharo release for an AMD Ryzen AM5 platform with the MSI PRO B850-P WIFI, the firmware consulting firm today released updated versions of their MSI PRO Z690-A and MSI PRO Z790-P Dasharo ports to those Intel Core motherboards.

Back in 2022 they originally debuted [3]Dasharo for the MSI PRO Z690-A WiFI motherboard and eventually the Z790-P motherboard too. They have continued maintaining those ports with new updates from time to time.

Today's release of Dasharo firmware v1.17 for the MSI PRO Z690-A and Dasharo firmware v0.9.5 for the MSI PRO Z790-P now provide initial SMI Transfer Mode (STM) support. There is also a new platform setup menu and even experimental CPU/overclocking options. The overclocking support is very experimental and may damage your hardware as a warning. There is also experimental RAM voltage configuration support for the DDR4 motherboards.

The updated open-source firmware also adds EZ Debug LED support, restoring defaults via CMOS battery reset, XMP profile and voltage verification/ramping, and other improvements and fixes.
