DXVK 3.0.2 Released With Improved Hang Debugging, Handful Of Game Fixes

([Valve] 3 Hours Ago DXVK 3.0.2)

In addition to the [1]initial build of Holo Core as AArch64 Arch Linux for the Steam Frame , another software milestone today in Valve's Linux gaming space is the release of DXVK 3.0.2 for Direct3D 8 / 9 / 10 / 11 APIs implemented over the Vulkan API for running Windows games.

DXVK 3.0.2 brings a handful of game fixes for helping out Dying Light: The Beast, Granblue Fantasy Relink, Halo CE, Overwatch, and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. The fixes range from rendering bugs to spurious GPU hangs with NVIDIA hardware to a performance regression when FSR is enabled.

Besides the few game fixes and improvements, DXVK 3.0.2 also presents an easier experience for helping to debug GPU hangs or driver crashes. The DXVK_DEBUG=hang environment variable is now supported for helping to provide more debug information on GPU hangs or driver crashes where the underlying Vulkan device is lost. For at least AMD and NVIDIA GPUs this should currently provide some useful debug information.
