TUXEDO Computers Switching TUXEDO OS From Ubuntu To Debian Testing

Bavarian Linux PC vendor TUXEDO Computers announced they are switching from Ubuntu to Debian as the base for their TUXEDO OS platform.

TUXEDO Computers announced today that " Ubuntu will no longer serve as the foundation of TUXEDO OS in the future. " TUXEDO is leaving Ubuntu to better align with the hybrid release model of TUXEDO OS while Ubuntu LTS as a base quickly goes stale in terms of software updates. TUXEDO Computers also expressed distaste for the AI roadmap being pursued by Canonical for future Ubuntu releases.

TUXEDO Computers will be using Debian Testing as its base moving forward. Debian Testing is planned to be the permanent base for TUXEDO OS in order to continue delivering fresh software innovations.

TUXEDO OS will also be pursuing Btrfs file-system usage and other improvements.

More details on these changes coming to TUXEDO OS can be found at [1]TUXEDOComputers.com .

For example, if \thinmskip = 3mu, this makes \thickmskip = 6mu. But if
you also want to use \skip12 for horizontal glue, whether in math mode or
not, the amount of skipping will be in points (e.g., 6pt). The rule is
that glue in math mode varies with the size only when it is an \mskip;
when moving between an mskip and ordinary skip, the conversion factor
1mu=1pt is always used. The meaning of '\mskip\skip12' and
'\baselineskip=\the\thickmskip' should be clear.
