Open-source Intel software engineers today sent out their latest round of Xe kernel graphics driver updates to DRM-Next for queuing ahead of next month's [1]Linux 7.2 merge window.
The DRM-Xe-Next patches for the week include a number of low-level code improvements. For end users nothing too exciting at large with just a lot of maintenance and other enhancements without direct and immediate user benefit. The one item worth noting from this pull request though is enabling SR-IOV support for Nova Lake integrated graphics virtualization.
A patch with today's pull request confirms [2]SR-IOV works with Nova Lake's Xe3P integrated graphics. SR-IOV is enabled for both Nova Lake S and Nova Lake P parts with their integrated graphics on the Xe open-source driver.
So yet another bit of excitement ahead of the much anticipated [3]Nova Lake processors.
The list of patches in full for those interested can be found via [4]this pull request .
