([Qt] 4 Hours Ago Qt Creator 20)

The Qt Group released the Qt Creator 20 Beta today for this Qt/C++ focused integrated development environment (IDE). In building off the trends of recent releases of Qt Creator and development tools at large, AI integration continues to be a big area of focus.

Qt Creator 20 Beta introduces a new Agent Client Protocol (ACP) extension that allows developers to chat with AI agents to understand the codebase and performing edits / actions / builds. ACP provides the standardized protocol for agent-editor communication for performing tasks within IDEs. More details on the Agent Client Protocol at large can be found via [1]AgentClientProtocol.com .

Qt Creator 20 also brings a new preferences page for managing Model Context Protocol (MCP) server integration.

Outside of the AI activities, Qt Creator 20 Beta adds new Zen Mode extension options for distraction-free mode and zen mode, updating the Clangd C++ code model, remote Linux devices can now be automatically connected before deploying and running on them, and a variety of other improvements.
