Open-Source Crown Game Engine v0.60 Released

([Linux Gaming] 5 Hours Ago Crown Engine 0.60)

While the Godot Engine receives a lot of attention as a prominent open-source game engine, it's far from the only one in this space. Another open-source game engine capping out 2025 with a new release is the Crown Engine.

Crown Engine continues moving ahead as a cross-platform solution focused on flexibility, performance, and a fast iterative approach for this MIT-licensed code paired with GPLv3+ game engine tooling.

Crown Engine 0.60 introduces a new unit editor, a state machine editor has also been added for configuring 3D skeletal animations, and other improvements for helping game developers. Plus there are more than two dozen bug fixes with Crown Engine v0.60.

Those wishing to learn more about the Crown Engine over the end-of-year holidays can do so via [1]CrownEngine.org and [2]GitHub .

In arguing that current theories of brain function cast suspicion on ESP,
psychokinesis, reincarnation, and so on, I am frequently challenged with
the most popular of all neuro-mythologies -- the notion that we ordinarily
use only 10 percent of our brains...

This "cerebral spare tire" concept continues to nourish the clientele of
"pop psychologists" and their many recycling self-improvement schemes. As
a metaphor for the fact that few of us fully exploit our talents, who could
deny it? As a refuge for occultists seeking a neural basis of the miraculous,
it leaves much to be desired.
