([NVIDIA] 74 Minutes Ago NVIDIA 575.64)

NVIDIA today released a new version of their R575 series stable Linux driver to provide a few additional fixes for customers.

The new NVIDIA 575.64 stable Linux driver isn't particularly exciting unless you were affected by the three reported bugs that are now corrected by this update. The NVIDIA 575.64 Linux driver fixes issues with kernel use-after-free behavior on pre-Turing GPUs, blank rendering for some applications under XWayland, and 32-bit x86 applications to crash in some configurations.

- Fixed a bug that could cause blank rendering on some single-buffered GLX applications when running on Xwayland.

- Fixed a bug that could cause a kernel use-after-free on pre-Turing GPUs.

- Fixed a bug that could cause 32-bit x86 applications running on recent builds of glibc to crash on dlopen().

The Commandments of the EE:

(9) Trifle thee not with radioactive tubes and substances lest thou
commence to glow in the dark like a lightning bug, and thy wife be
frustrated and have not further use for thee except for thy wages.
(10) Commit thou to memory all the words of the prophets which are
written down in thy Bible which is the National Electrical Code,
and giveth out with the straight dope and consoleth thee when
thou hast suffered a ream job by the chief electrician.
(11) When thou muckest about with a device in an unthinking and/or
unknowing manner, thou shalt keep one hand in thy pocket. Better
that thou shouldest keep both hands in thy pockets than
experimentally determine the electrical potential of an
innocent-seeming device.
