More Intel Panther Lake Graphics PCI IDs Added To Linux 6.15

([Intel] 4 Hours Ago More Panther Lake Parts)

Ahead of the [1]Linux 6.15 kernel release expected on Sunday , a final round of Direct Rendering Manager (DRM) kernel graphics driver fixes were merged today to the kernel. Notable with these updates on the Intel side is squeezing in some additional PCI device IDs for upcoming Panther Lake integrated graphics.

The Intel kernel graphics driver code has synced up against the latest Panther Lake integrated graphics PCI device IDs to enable support for a few additional parts. There were already some Panther Lake graphics device IDs present in the kernel as part of the Xe3 integrated graphics bring-up but now four additional device IDs have been added.

The Intel PCI device IDs of 0xB084, 0xB085, 0xB086, and 0xB087 are now merged as part of the Panther Lake integrated graphics enablement.

As usual it's difficult to externally ascertain the number of different integrated graphics variants that will come for Panther Lake as some of the device IDs may be reserved for engineering models, possible but currently unplanned additions to the family, and similar situations where there may be more device IDs added than what will end up being found in released consumer products.

In any event these latest Panther Lake integrated device IDs are now present in Linux Git thanks to today's [2]DRM fixes merged ahead of Linux 6.15 final.
