On the networking front with the upcoming [1]Linux 6.16 merge window is supporting the new Realtek RTL8127A 10GbE Ethernet Controller.
The RTL8127A is a new ASIC from Realtek allowing 10Gb/s Ethernet networking. There doesn't appear to be many devices/boards yet employing the RTL8127 series networking controllers but the Linux support is prepped.
Queued this past week to the networking subsystem's "net-next" branch is [2]this patch directly from a Realtek engineer adding the RTL8127A controller support.
The RTL8127A 10Gb/s controller support is being tacked onto the existing r8169 Ethernet networking driver with less than 200 lines of new code.
