Giga Computing Announces GA On Their AmpereOne Servers

([Arm] 6 Hours Ago General Availability)

After years of AmpereComputing talking about [1]AmpereOne AArch64 server processors, it looks like we are finally on the cusp of seeing broader availability of the processors and servers/motherboards for this ARM server platform up to 192 cores. At the end of August I finally received a temporary review system with the [2]AmpereOne A192-32X flagship SKU. That server was the [3]Supermicro ARS-211M-NR and is supposed to be seeing availability real soon. Now the latest on the AmpereOne front is Giga Computing (Gigabyte) announcing general availability of their servers.

Giga Computing announced this morning general availability for their new AmpereOne servers. Giga Computing / Gigabyte has a lineup of single and dual socket servers for AmpereOne that are in production while more are said to be coming in late Q4.

Among the Giga Computing AmpereOne wares are the R132-P30 / R163-P32 general purpose single socket 1U servers, the R263-P30 general purpose single socket 2U server, the E163-P30 single socket edge server, the R183-P30 / R183-P32 general purpose dual socket 1U servers, and the R283-P90 / R283-P92 general purpose dual socket 2U servers.

More details on the new Giga Computing AmpereOne server platforms via today's [4]GA announcement . So far I haven't seen any pricing information on their AmpereOne servers and it remains to be seen how robust the server availability will be as well as how widely available the AmpereOne processors will be found and how close they'll be to [5]their previously mentioned list pricing .
