News flash! You don't need a $500 toothbrush with a camera and AI processing. You only need a 25 cent soft bristle tooth brush and a $4 pack of floss picks.

I bought the "pro" version, which I think only differs in that it has a little compartment for a whitening tablet (which I quickly ran out of and never bought more), and it's been running great for years. I'm sorry you got a dud.
They are pretty great though, right? All the flossing without having to jam your hands in your mouth. I'm prone to gingivitis, and it's a gum-saver.

I've been told (by my dentist) that a water flosser (whatever brand) is better than not flossing ... but is still significantly worse than actually flossing. YMMV.

I've noticed some of the common brand name mouthwashes tend to foam up way too much now. It's ridiculous IMHO. requiring a non-foaming version sold by the device maker - now the increasing foam makes sense.

I tried one of those smaller handheld flossers some time ago and they can't generate enough Force to actually function as a waterpik. The motor is too small and at some point you are dealing with the limits of physics such that I don't even think Dyson could overcome that.
At $500 though they must think it will work but I don't see how. I say that as somebody who uses a water pik. The ones that sit on your counter while you're using them work just fine because they are much larger and have a much larger

Lots of posts here bashing this product while I bet exactly none of them have tried using one yet.
No argument Dyson makes a lot of high-dollar products that just attempt to be a little better/different than the norm -- and won't impress people who are always looking only for the lowest cost solution.
But I have yet to really use anything Dyson branded I thought was a bad/dysfunctional product. I owned the orange Dyson ball vacuum cleaner, many years ago, when it had only existed for a short time. It was 4x-5
