After outsourcing a lot of mass production to China for decades, good luck being able to mass produce anything without China. We close the markets for them, admitting there is a big market (why, I don't fully understand. It still seems to me specialized robots are better suited, but probably it easier to produce "one" robot for all tasks and adapt in software), but we won't be able to fill the demand gap any time soon.

Also, it's a real shame it's impossible to design a power inverter without any complex logic or arbitrary data links. I imagine they can't flip those electrons back and forth without maintaining a lively chat with the mothership.
