Truth Social To Sell Wall Street Firms the 'Fastest' Access To Trump's Post (nbcnews.com)

(Friday July 17, 2026 @03:00AM (BeauHD) from the time-is-money dept.)

An anonymous reader quotes a report from NBC News:

> Trump Media & Technology Group has unveiled a paid-for, licensed data feed that will [1]give banks and trading firms "the fastest" access to posts from influential Truth Social accounts , such as President Donald Trump's, whose posts often move global markets. The product, called 'Truth API,' will deliver posts from the 10 most influential accounts to customers at a significantly faster pace than a regular push notification on the Truth Social platform, a spokesperson said. The feed is designed for organizations "most impacted by the cost of a delay in information," such as algorithmic trading firms, the company said in a statement. "Until now... firms that prioritize tracking influential Truth posts have relied on manual monitoring. Truth API closes the gap."

"Markets already move on Truth Social posts ... As adoption grows, we expect Truth API to become a meaningful, ongoing source of revenue for the company," TMTG's interim CEO Kevin McGurn said.

Before Trump, it was a cultural norm that a President of the United States was expected to follow ethical and moral guidelines as well as laws; not only because anything less would be dishonorable and a disservice to his country, but also because otherwise he would pay a steep political price for his unethical behavior. Trump's most significant political innovation has taken the form of figuring out how to convince a plurality of the American public that the only real standard for Presidential behavior is "whatever you can get away with".

The Constitution and the proper functioning of our government assume people of good moral and ethical character who will at least try to abide by the spirit, not just the letter, of the law and do what's best for the country -- you know that whole "oath" thing. No administration is perfect, but we really don't have that with this Administration, who actively tries to get away with whatever they can in furtherance of their self interests and agendas, even if it's not what the people want or is in the best interest of the country.

I mean, it was extremely consequential, Clinton's lie. It changed everything and many people suffered because of it. He might as well have lied about another country having weapons of mass destruction so he could start a war that would cost thousands of lives and then use that war to enrich his corporate buddies and donors.

What mattered was that he lied while giving testimony to a judge during a legal proceeding while under oath .
