Poland Says Cyberattacks on Critical Infrastructure Rising, Blames Russia (reuters.com)

(Friday October 10, 2025 @05:22PM (msmash) from the closer-look dept.)

An anonymous reader shares a report:

> Poland's critical infrastructure has been [1]subject to a growing number of cyberattacks by Russia , whose military intelligence, has trebled its resources for such action against Poland this year, the country's digital affairs minister told Reuters. Of the 170,000 cyber incidents that have been identified in the first three quarters of this year, a significant portion has been attributed to Russian actors, while other cases are financially motivated, involving theft or other forms of cybercrime, Krzysztof Gawkowski said.

>

> He said Poland is a subject to between 2,000 and 4,000 incidents a day and that 700 to 1,000 are "taken up by us, meaning they posed a real threat or had the potential to cause serious problems," he said. Foreign adversaries are now expanding their focus beyond water and sewage systems to the energy sector, he said.

Russia is not doing everything it can to start WW3. If Putin wants WW3 then all he needs to do is "touch the boats" like Japan did in the start of WW2. I know that there are people that will claim that WW2 started in late 1939 but I can make a case that it wasn't a global war until 1941 when Japan touched America's boats and initiated direct involvement from nations on the American continents. Yes, you are correct. The draft dodger is not a soldier and has little regard for the military, criticizing Gold Star families and mocking those who died.

However, the reason nothing will happen while he's around is because he admires Putin. Remember when he held up a picture of he and Putin after the Alaska meeting and said [1]he was going to sign it [go.com] and send it to Putin? It's the same reason he has not put real sanctions on Russia despit
