Probably not, the tech companies take the copyright holder's, and in many cases random users', assertions about copyright violation at face value.
The claims are never given even a cursory investigation, the content is just removed immediately, without recourse, sometimes progressing to the whole account being removed.

People quote Altman like they think he's trying to tell the truth. He's not. He's just as mendacious as Musk. You'll learn a lot more if you ignore his words and watch his actions.

Settings -> General -> Keyboard. Disable smart quotes.
If you don't want to disable them altogether hold down when inserting a quote mark and choose the default straight line one.

How far do those rights extend? (Score:1)
What if you own the rights to a character, and someone wants to generate a character that is very similar? For instance, if Amazon owns the rights to James Bond, and someone designs a British spy who dresses well and engages in espionage, will the system flag that as under the control of Amazon? We are entering weird territory where the creation of new characters and the overlap with old characters could lead to new creators being slapped with restrictions that do not exist anywhere else.

Parody is a right that we need to consider as well. What if I want to generate images of all of those characters sodomizing Sam Altman with giant purple strap-on dildos so that I have images for my newsletter? Copyright holders have no claims against satire or parody of their work. Why should it matter whether I create those images by hand or use a computer tool to assist in their construction?
If all of this leads to actual copyright reform then I won't be one to complain.

It doesn't matter if they own it.
If they refuse to let you use any AI tools to generate such a character, and sue you to oblivion if you actually do manage to create one, then it doesn't matter if you're in the right - they have more lawyers and more money to throw at it than you do.
