Typepad is Shutting Down

Typepad, which launched in 2003 to make it easier for the masses to start their blogging journey, [1]is shutting down . From a blog post:

> We have made the difficult decision to discontinue Typepad, effective September 30, 2025. After September 30, 2025, access to Typepad -- including account management, blogs, and all associated content -- will no longer be available. Your account and all related services will be permanently deactivated. Please note that after this date, you will no longer be able to access or export any blog content.

Same here but I was never that interested in blogs. I can remember reading maybe a handful since the early nineties, but I was never much interested in other peoples ramblings. Other early web page types were much more interesting to me, some even had dancing hamsters!

I've used a program called HTTrack to do this in the past. It might work for Typepad..

...normally Google cans everything after a few years. Maybe I shouldn't mention it, else management will take notice.

This unit... must... survive.
