> Microsoft is positioning Copilot for Gaming as a sidekick of sorts, one that will accompany you through games, offering up tips and guides and useful information about a game world. During a press briefing, Sonali Yadav, product manager for gaming AI, demonstrated several scenarios for what Copilot for Gaming could be used for. I think it would be interesting to have an AI "buddy" that could play co-op games and chat with me about the game, and also about philosophy and other random nonsense, while playing. Just like a real person would.
But, as novel as I think that would be, I would never trust it. I would know that it was put up by a rich corporation who is motivated to use it to convince me to spend more money, and to extract data about me which it could sell to other advertisers. There is simply no way to ever escape that.
