The governor called in the armed forces because the magnitude and complexity of the attack exceeded the city's response capabilities, according to a statement from Walz's office on Tuesday.
"The Minnesota National Guard's cyber forces will collaborate with city, state, and federal officials to resolve the situation and mitigate lasting impacts," Walz [1]said . "Above all, we are committed to protecting the safety and security of the people of Saint Paul."

City officials first spotted signs of the digital intrusion on Friday. "This cyberattack persisted through the weekend, causing significant disruptions and impairing St. Paul's ability to provide vital services," according to theran executive order

"We now know this was not a system glitch or technical error," Saint Paul Mayor Melvin Carter said during a Tuesday [11]press conference . "This was a deliberate, coordinated, digital attack, carried out by a sophisticated external actor, intentionally and criminally targeting our city's information infrastructure."
"Yesterday we initiated a full shut down of our info systems as a defensive measure to contain the threat," he added, describing it as an "ongoing and dynamic threat."
Carter declined to attribute the attack to a specific criminal or cybercrime group, and said he was not aware if a ransom had been demanded.

The city is still investigating the attack and assessing if the intruders stole any data, the mayor said. The FBI, along with other federal, state, and local agencies and law enforcement are assisting in the response, and Saint Paul has also hired two cybersecurity firms to investigate. ®

Resilience!
They apparently have bugger all.
You move everything over to digital, it all goes down really easily. At the very least, have a plan B. Cash, land lines, paper, humans on phones.
The West is erasing the resilience of its basic services, well, pretty much everything, by switching to apps and AI. At this rate, Putin won't even need tanks.
Re: Resilience!
You've got it entirely backwards which is understandable if you listen to and believe the MSM.
It's the West threatening to invade Russia specifically a US General menacing Kaliningrad.

Just as well given the rate that Ukraine is knocking them out.
We'll be seeing T34s on the front line next.
Слава Україні
Slava Ukraini!
Re: T34s on the front line next.
Nah, buggies, motorbikes and donkeys.
They've lost over 11,000 tanks. Redefining Pyrrhic Victory, and that will take another few years just for the Eastern region they claim to have already annexed.
They have asked for Alaska back, but it wasn't really theirs to sell.
Russia is no threat to USA. It is a threat in Europe.
Re: T34s on the front line next.
The actual losses are disputed and/or uncertain for various reasons, but generally at least 3,800 is a figure for losses in Ukraine that is not disputed and probably significantly higher.
That is more than most countries have in total and represents something like a tenth of all tanks in the world!
I'm betting Russia
US based Trump supporters don't have the brainpower.
