Linux 7.3 To Better Support The High-End Turtle Beach VelocityOne Race

([Hardware] 6 Hours Ago Turtle Beach VelocityOne Race)

Coming with Sunday's Linux 7.3-rc6 kernel release is support added for the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Race, a high-end $649~700 USD racing wheel and pedal system.

Turtle Beach doesn't officially support Linux with their products like the VelocityOne Race wheel and pedal kit for racing simulators. Basic HID input has worked but with reported issues. Coming now for Linux 7.3 is adding the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Race to the [1]hid-universal-pidff driver . This is the driver that came about last year for improving device support for the Linux simracing community. This driver has already helped work out issues with racing wheels/pedals of other brands while now the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Race stands to benefit too.

As the hid-universal-pidff driver just needs the vendor and device IDs for the VelocityOne Race kit, it was safe for merging during this late stage of the Linux 7.3 kernel development.

The support was sent into the kernel as part of this week's [2]HID pull . That pull also fixes some buffer overflows in the Intel THC driver, some fixes for Sashiko AI findings, and also goes ahead and [3]reverts the Logitech Bolt Receiver HID++ support due to too many bugs .
