([GNU] 17 Minutes Ago GCC 16.2)

Following the GCC 16.1 compiler release from the end of April as the first stable version of [1]GCC 16 , GCC 16.2 is now available with dozens of bug fixes collected since then for further stabilizing this year's GNU compiler feature release.

GCC 16 introduced many great improvements like experimental HTML output support for errors/warnings, improving error messages at large, an Algol 68 programming language front-end, AMD Zen 6 CPU support, AMD Instinct MI300 series experimental support for the AMDGCN back-end, C++20 standard usage by default, OpenMP improvements, and a lot more. GCC 16.2 is now here to help further stabilize and polish this annual compiler feature release.

GCC 16.2 brings 102 known bug fixes over GCC 16.1. It's quite a wide mix of fixes in there with no particular items standing out and GCC 16.1 already rather robust. Those interested can find GCC 16.2 for download from [2]gcc.gnu.org .
