Fedora Working To Establish Conflict of Interest Policy

([Fedora] 5 Hours Ago Fedora Conflict of Interest)

Posted this week is a draft copy of the Fedora Conflict of Interest policy being worked on for dealing with identifying, disclosing, and managing any actual, actual, or perceived conflicts of interest within the Fedora Project.

Since last year there has been a [1]discussion item for the Fedora Council around establishing Conflict of Interest guidelines for Fedora. This could cover items like when a FESCo ticket is opened up by a member of a committee or other conflicts of interest within the project.

Making it out now is a [2]draft policy for the Conflict of Interest Guidelines/Policy. The draft covers the scope of the Fedora project, the core principals, the process for disclosing any conflicts of interest, and also escalation and remediation aspects. It's not yet finalized but it's a start for helping to drive greater transparency and avoiding any perceived conflicts of interest within the Fedora project.
