Sent out today was the weekly round of drm-misc-next patches of new Direct Rendering Manager feature material ready to be queued in DRM-Next ahead of the Linux 7.3 merge window.
Most notable with this week's drm-misc-next material is the Imagination DRM kernel driver promoting the BXM-4-64 MC1 GPU to a "supported" status rather than it being marked as "experimental" in prior versions of the Imagination kernel graphics driver.
The Imagination BXM-4-64 MC1 is found in the likes of the T-Head TH1520 RISC-V SOC. This promoting to supported status comes after a successful Vulkan conformance test suite (CTS) run in conjunction with Imagination's Mesa Vulkan driver. The GPU firmware was [1]upstreamed in linux-firmware.git and all indications are that it's in good shape now for end-users wanting to use this upstream, open-source Imagination Technologies driver.
This week's drm-misc-next pull alos adds Tegra264 support to various Tegra/host1x driver code, various new panels, and other minor fixes. More details on these changes can be found via [2]this pull request .
