More ASUS Motherboards To Enjoy Working Sensor Monitoring With Linux 7.3

Thanks to the work of the open-source community, more ASUS desktop motherboards for Intel Core and AMD Ryzen systems are seeing working sensor monitoring under Linux. With the upcoming Linux 7.3 cycle, several additional ASUS motherboards will now enjoy working sensor monitoring.
Some recently queued patches for the ASUS EC Sensors hardware monitoring (HWMON) driver include enabling sensor monitoring on the [1]ProArt Z690-CREATOR WIFI , [2]ROG STRIX X870E-E GAMING WIFI7 R2 , [3]ROG CROSSHAIR X870E HERO , and [4]ROG Maximus Z790 Hero .
This comes with more Linux users verifying the support for their motherboards. Typically it's just small patches needed for new motherboard support in the ASUS EC Sensors driver for verifying the exposed board name based on DMI information and then confirming what thermal, power, and fan sensors can be found on the motherboard.
These latest board additions are now in [5]hwmon-next and thus expected to be merged for next month's Linux 7.3 merge window.
As of right now in hwmon-next, the complete list of supported ASUS motherboards by the ASUS-EC-Sensors driver for Linux hardware monitoring include:
