AMD is kicking off the busy Computex 2026 week with some new product announcements. The embargo is now up so meet the Radeon RX 9070 GRE and other new wares coming out this summer and later in the year from AMD.

On the graphics card side, AMD is using Computex 2026 for announcing the Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics card as a step below the Radeon RX 9070 / 9070 XT.

[2]

The Radeon RX 9070 GRE will be launching on 1 June for starting at $549 USD. Stay tuned for Linux details on this RDNA 4 graphics card focused on 1440p gaming with 12GB of video memory. The RX 9070 GRE features 48 compute units, 48 ray-tracing accelerators, 96 AI accelerators, and up to a 2.79GHz maximum boost clock. The AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE has a 220 Watt board power rating. Also on the graphics front, AMD is introducing Radeon AI FSR PRO for professional graphics applications for Ray Generation and Radeon AI PRO R9700 certifications.

For those still on AMD's AM4 platform, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition was formally announced for this longest-running PC platform. The [4]Ryzen 7 5800X3D was interesting when it launched in 2022 and still carries a fair punch if looking to upgrade the CPU in your aging AM4 motherboard with wanting to avoid moving to AM5 at this time due to high platform and memory costs. The Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition will be available for $349 USD starting on 25 June.

[5]

On the AM5 side, AMD also introduced the Ryzen 7 7700X3D model while also affirmed support for the AM5 platform through 2029. The AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D will be available on 16 July for $329 USD with 8 cores / 16 threads, 4.5GHz maximum boost clock, and 120 Watt TDP for this latest 3D V-Cache with a total of 104MB of cache.

[6]

AMD also teased the upcoming EXPO Ultra Low Latency (ULL) technology for the next iteration of AMD EXPO. This automatic overclocking is said to provide an additional 4% FPS boost on average over non-ULL EXPO memory.

[7]

AMD also is using Computex this year for introducing the Ryzen AI Max PRO 400 series, the latest iteration of the fantastic [8]Strix Halo processors still based on Zen 5. With Ryzen AI Max PRO 400 series is up to 192GB of memory for running even larger LLms than the existing [9]Ryzen AI Max (PRO) 300 series at 128GB. The new models include the Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495, Ryzen AI Max PRO 490, and Ryzen AI Max PRO 485. Hopefully we'll find our hands on some new Ryzen AI Max PRO 400 series hardware soon for Linux testing.

[10]

AMD also continues talking up their Ryzen AI Halo box with initially being powered by the still very capable Ryzen AI Max+ 395 while later on will come with a Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 model. Hopefully we'll be able to take the AMD Ryzen AI Halo system for a spin at Phoronix soon.

That's all for now with the quick summary on these new Computex 2026 product announcements from AMD.

And the crowd was stilled. One elderly man, wondering at the sudden silence,
turned to the Child and asked him to repeat what he had said. Wide-eyed,
the Child raised his voice and said once again, "Why, the Emperor has no
clothes! He is naked!"
