More AMDGPU Driver Fixes Prepped For Linux 7.2

([Radeon] 6 Hours Ago Linux 7.2 AMDGPU)

AMD is ready with more AMDKFD compute driver and AMDGPU kernel graphics driver changes for the upcoming [1]Linux 7.2 merge window.

Pull requests in recent weeks have [2]introduced the new AMDGPU power module component for the open-source AMD Linux driver to better match the display power handling seen with Microsoft Windows. They have also continued working on enabling new hardware IP in the AMDGPU and AMDKFD kernel drivers for upcoming AMD hardware. This week another batch of AMDGPU/AMDKFD changes were sent to DRM-Next of new material ahead of Linux 7.2.

This week most of the AMDGPU/AMDKFD changes for Linux 7.2 revolve around bug fixes. Notably not yet included as part of these pull requests is the [3]ongoing work around HDMI 2.1 support for AMDGPU . Hopefully that initial (disabled by default) support for HDMI 2.1 FRL and DSC will make it still for Linux 7.2 but as of right now it hasn't yet been submitted as part of any pulls.
