GCC 16.1 Released With AMD Zen 6 Support, Algol 68 & Many C++ Improvements

GCC 16.1 is now available as the first stable release of [1]GCC 16 as this year's major open-source GNU compiler feature release.
GCC 16 ships [2]improved error messages with [3]experimental HTML output support , [4]the new Algol 68 programming language front-end , [5]support for using Picolibc , [6]Arm AGI CPU target support , experimental AMD Instinct MI300 series support in the AMDGCN back-end, and [7]initial AMD Zen 6 "znver6" CPU support .
GCC 16 is also [8]using the C++20 standard by default and brings many C and C++ language improvements. More OpenMP 5.x/6.x functionality is also in place, the GCC Ada support continues improving, and many other improvements as outlined via the [9]documentation .
