D7VK v1.8 Continues Improving Legacy Direct3D Atop The Vulkan API

([Linux Gaming] 6 Hours Ago D7VK 1.8)

D7VK as what began as an implementation of the Direct3D 7 API on top of the Vulkan API, based off DXVK as part of Steam Play (Proton) for D3D8 through D3D11 support, continues enhancing its legacy D3D API support that over time has stretched now from D3D7 to D3D3.

Released this weekend was D7VK v1.8 that now has proper support for ProcessVertices calls implemented on the CPU, which in turn fixes a number of rendering issues across a variety of different old Direct3D game titles.

D7VK 1.8 also replaces its proxied presentation code with legacy presentation handling. With the legacy presentation mode, it's now possible to enjoy the likes of the DXVK HUD.

D7VK 1.8 also brings a wide variety of other bug fixes and enhancements.
