Linux 7.1 Brings Audio Support For The Line6 POD HD PRO & NexiGo N930W Webcam

Following last week's Linux 7.1 sound subsystem feature pull that [1]added bus keeper support in working toward better Apple Silicon support along with a variety of other new audio hardware support, a secondary set of sound updates were merged as we approach the end of the Linux 7.1 merge window.

Besides various bug fixes that have collected over the past week, there are a few smaller additions too with the now-merged sound patches.

The high-end Line6 POD HD PRO is now supported with Linux 7.1. The POD HD PRO is similar to the already supported POD 500 but is a rackmount device and does need some additional bits for supporting in the Linux USB sound driver. The Line6 POD HD PRO was initially released back in 2011 but can still be found online used if you are looking for some high-end audio gear that now works with Linux.

The NexiGo N930W web camera also now has working audio support after a USB audio quirk was added. An easy two-liner now gets that web camera audio working nicely under Linux. The NexiGo N930W is a 1080p @ 60 FPS web camera that retails for around $60 USD.

This secondary sound pull also brings fixes for the Audio Advantage Micro II SPDIF, various device-specific quirks for different laptops, and Intel Nova Lake SoF platform name support. Laptop quirks added to this pull include an LED fix for the HP EliteBook 6 G2a laptops, a Realtek HDA quirk for the Acer Nitro 16 AN16-41, a Realtek HDA driver quirk for the HONOR MRB-XXX M1020, and mute LED support for the HP Victus 15-fa2xxx.
