Intel Core Ultra X7 358H + 32GB RAM Laptop Around ~$1300 USD

([Intel] 6 Hours Ago Pre-Orders Start Today)

Yesterday when Intel [1]formally introduced Panther Lake as the Core Ultra Series 3 with pre-orders set to begin today and available globally later this month, one of the key questions remaining was around pricing... I've been scouting various Internet retailers today and so far have found a Ultra X7 358H model with the 12 Xe cores for the Xe3 integrated graphics to be priced around $1299 USD with 32GB of RAM.

For those curious about Panther Lake pricing, the sole listing I've found so far this morning is for a MSI Prestige 14 Flip AI+ Evo. The MSI Prestige 14 Flip AI+ Evo with the Core Ultra X7 358H, 14-inch 1920 x 1200 OLED display, 32GB LPDDR5X memory, and 1TB NVMe SSD is listed for $1299 USD.

The Ultra X7 358H has the top-end 12 Xe cores Arc B390 Graphics. On the CPU side are 4 P cores, 8 E cores, and 4 LPE cores. The Ultra X7 358H tops out at 4.8GHz for its turbo frequency on the P cores. This SoC has a 25 Watt base power rating and 80 Watt maximum turbo power rating.

The Arc B390 Graphics are quite exciting while it will be interesting to see how the Panther Lake CPU performance is under Linux and how it compares to prior-gen Intel hardware and competing AMD Ryzen AI laptops.

I'm continuing my search today to see what other Panther Lake laptops become listed and available for pre-order. If anyone sees any other interesting Panther Lake listings today or in the coming days, feel free to share in the forums.

I am evaluating my options for being able to deliver Intel Panther Lake Linux benchmarks this month. So far I haven't heard anything recently from Intel about any review hardware so may be yet another launch of having to buy/pre-order hardware retail in order to deliver Linux support/compatibility and performance metrics for the Panther Lake CPU performance and the interesting Arc B390 graphics. (Thanks as always to [3]Phoronix Premium subscribers, those tipping, and those not using any ad-blocker on this site.)

Stay tuned for Intel Core Ultra Series 3 "Panther Lake" Linux benchmarks one way or another on Phoronix in the coming weeks.

Update: Another Core Ultra X7 358H 32GB laptop hitting the $1299 price point:
