Intel Now Confirms Nova Lake Will Support AVX10.2 & APX Extensions

Recently when Intel contributed [1]Nova Lake support for LLVM/Clang and [2]the GCC compiler support there was not any AVX10 or APX support contrary to rumors and expectations. Intel has now published a new programming reference manual where they now confirm [3]Nova Lake will in fact support AVX10.2 and APX.

Intel published their latest Intel Architecture Instruction Set Extensions and Future Features programming reference manual for November 2025. Most exciting is confirming some additional Nova Lake features.

The updated documentation now confirms Nova Lake as supporting SM4 (EVEX), AVX10.1, AVX10.2, APX, and MOVRS and PREFETCHRST2 instructions. Great seeing Advanced Vector Extensions 10.2 and Advanced Performance Extensions indeed going to be supported with Nova Lake rather than having to wait another generation for seeing 512-bit AVX support in client CPUs and the premier of APX. Diamond Rapids server CPUs will support these extensions too.
