AMD continues preparing more kernel driver code for [1]Linux 6.19 . This week another round of AMDGPU kernel graphics driver updates were submitted to DRM-Next ahead of the early December merge window.
In addition to prior AMDGPU updates intended for Linux 6.19 like [2]more GCN 1.0 era hardware work for the AMDGPU driver driven by Valve, this week's round of AMDGPU and AMDKFD updates is mostly around bug fixes and other low-level work.
Enhancing the [3]user mode queues "UserQ" support remains a frequent area of kernel driver work this year. AMDGPU UserQ work in this pull request includes hardware reset support. Plus there are clean-ups for the Heterogeneous Memory Management (HMM) code, updates to various IP blocks, continued suspend/resume enhancements, seemingly never-ending DisplayPort Multi-Stream Transport (DP MST) fixes, and other general fixes.
