Fedora Linux 43 Cleared For Release Next Week

[1]Fedora 43 complete with its rocket-themed default desktop background on Fedora Workstation 43 is cleared for lifting off next week.

While [2]Fedora 43 wasn't ready for release this week due to outstanding blocker bugs, at today's Go/No-Go meeting it was decided that Fedora 43 is now in a position for shipping next week.

It was decided Fedora 43 is a [3]GO for release now that the blocker bugs have been addressed over the past week.

Fedora 43 images are due for release on Tuesday, 28 October. Fedora 43 is powered by the Linux 6.17 kernel, GNOME 49 is powering Fedora Workstation 43, and there are a wealth of updates as covered in countless Phoronix articles. Fedora 43 continues enhancing its Anaconda WebUI, moves to Python 3.14, Wayland-only GNOME support, and many other changes as outlined on the the [4]Fedora Wiki .
