Wine 10.16 is out today as a very exciting bi-weekly development release of this software for enjoying Windows games and applications under Linux.
Wine 10.16 is a very exciting update. Fast synchronization support is now working on modern versions of the Linux kernel using [1]NTSYNC ! Building off [2]the initial bits in Wine 10.15 , it appears the NTSYNC integration for Wine is now in good standing for the 10.16 release when using [3]Linux 6.14 or newer .
Wine 10.16 also brings support for 16-bit apps in WoW64 mode, initial support for D3DKMT objects, and Windows Metadata "WinMD" files generated and installed.
Plus there are 34 known bug fixes since the prior release that fix a wide variety of games and applications. Downloads and more details on Wine 10.16 via [4]WineHQ.org .
Wine 10.16 is working toward [5]the Wine 11.0 stable release in January and the code freeze beginning in early December.
