Merged this week as part of the sound fixes for the Linux 6.17 cycle and now to be back-ported to the stable kernel versions is a headset detection fix/workaround for [1]the Framework 13 Laptop powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 300 series .
Similar to other Framework Laptop models needing a workaround for proper headset detection handling, the newest Ryzen AI 300 series motherboard also needs this ALC295 quirk.
It's a simple [2]one line patch needed for setting the quirk for headset detection handling on the Framework Laptop 13. This headset detection is for those using the 3.5mm combo audio jack and is similar to the workarounds/quirks also needed on Dell laptops and other devices.
The patch was merged via [3]these sound fixes ahead of the Linux 6.17-rc2 kernel due out later today. The patch should in turn work its way to supported Linux stable kernel series in the coming days.
