Pogocache 1.0 Released: Claims Better Performance Than Memcache, Valkey & Redis

([Programming] 23 July 08:11 AM EDT Pogocache 1.0)

Pogocache 1.0 was released today as a fast open-source caching software that aims for low latency and great CPU efficiency. Pogocache supports Memcache / Valkey / Redis / HTTP / Postgres wire protocols while claiming to offer much better throughput and lower latency than these caching alternatives.

Pogocache 1.0 is open-source under an AGPLv3 license and claims to outperform the likes of Memcache, Garnet, Dragonfly, Valkey, and Redis. Here are some of the Pogocache benchmarks claimed by its developer:

Released today was [1]Pogocache 1.0 as the first release for this caching software built from scratch and written in C. Those wanting to learn more about Pogocache can do so via the project's [2]GitHub . It will be interesting to see how these performance claims stack up as the project matures and ultimately how successful it is with time to the likes of Memcached and Valkey/Redis.

Top scientists agree that with the present rate of consumption, the earth's
supply of gravity will be exhausted before the 24th century. As man
struggles to discover cheaper alternatives, we need your help. Please...

CONSERVE GRAVITY

Follow these simple suggestions:

(1) Walk with a light step. Carry helium balloons if possible.
(2) Use tape, magnets, or glue instead of paperweights.
(3) Give up skiing and skydiving for more horizontal sports like curling.
(4) Avoid showers .. take baths instead.
(5) Don't hang all your clothes in the closet ... Keep them in one big pile.
(6) Stop flipping pancakes
