A few new media drivers have been introduced as part of the [1]Linux 6.16 merge window.
First up, there is the new Amlogic C3 ISP for Linux 6.16. The Amlogic C3 ISP driver contributed by Amlogic engineers directly is for an image signal processor capable of supporting multi-camera, multi-exposure HDR imaging. As part of the ISP enablement is also a C3 MIPI CSI-2 receiver driver. The C3 is a SoC itself designed for various multimedia needs like Android TV boxes.
The media pull request for Linux 6.16 also includes the ST VD55G1 and VD56G3 as well as the OmniVision OV02C10 sensor drivers.
Meanwhile the Intel Atom ISP driver has been adapted to support interfacing with the mainline MT9M114 driver. Another addition to an existing multimedia driver is the Rockchip RKVDEC decoder driver now supporting H.264 High 10 and 4:2:2 profiles.
More details on these media changes for Linux 6.16 via [2]this Git pull request that has already been merged to mainline.
