Along with this week bringing [1]the Plasma 6.4 Beta 2 desktop, there's been other changes merged for Plasma 6.4 as well as some early feature work on Plasma 6.5.
KDE developer Nate Graham is out with his usual weekly recap of all interesting things Plasma. For ending out the month of May and ahead of the Plasma 6.4 stable release in mid-June, some of this week's activities included:
- Handling more device types within the Plasma Bluetooth widget. The Bluetooth pairing wizard will also now better present devices.
- Plasma 6.5 will reduce memory usage of Plasma by keeping fewer unnecessary copies of each screen's wallpaper in memory.
- Plasma 6.5 will allow advancing to the next wallpaper in wallpaper slideshows by using keyboard shortcuts.
- The Digital Clock widget's calendar add-on page has received a visual overhaul for Plasma 6.5.
- The KDE System Settings Legacy X11 App Support page is now more informative about its settings and intentions.
- Plasma 6.3.6 has fixed a "random-seeming" KWin crash.
- Many bug fixes for Plasma 6.4.
