More Intel Battlemage Graphics PCI IDs Added To Mesa OpenGL/Vulkan Drivers

([Intel] 6 Hours Ago More Intel Battlemage PCI IDs)

Intel engineers have added yet more PCI graphics device IDs for [1]Battlemage to their open-source driver code within Mesa for Iris OpenGL and ANV Vulkan driver support.

Going along with the new device IDs that were added as part of [2]the kernel graphics driver changes for Linux 6.16 , the new Battlemage device IDs have similarly been merged now to Mesa for the user-space driver code.

Merged to Mesa 25.2-devel Git last night were the new Battlemage device IDs of 0xe220, 0xe221, 0xe222, and 0xe223.

[3]The patch with the new device IDs is also marked for back-porting to the Mesa 25.1 stable series too. (It's also flagged for Mesa 25.0 back-porting but [4]that series ended yesterday .)

The patch doesn't shed any light onto the products behind these new Battlemage device IDs but simply identifies them for now with the common "BMG" name. While four new device IDs are added, the usual caveat applies that it doesn't necessarily mean four additional Battlemage products will be announced. Sometimes device IDs are reserved for engineering models, possible but currently unplanned possible products, and similar gotchas.

In any event [5]the Battlemage Linux support has been maturing nicely and good continuing to see timely Linux support. Plus we have [6]Project Battlematrix to look forward to.
