([Standards] 5 Hours Ago PCI Express 7.0 v0.9)

The full PCI Express 7.0 specification remains on track for publishing later this year while out today is version 0.9 of the specification as the planned final draft.

The PCI-SIG shared today that the PCI Express 7.0 v0.9 specification is now available for member review. No further functional changes are expected for PCIe 7.0 and the spec is on track for publishing later in 2025.

As a reminder of the key features of PCI Express 7.0:

- Delivering 128 GT/s raw bit rate and up to 512 GB/s bi-directionally via x16 configuration

- Utilizing PAM4 (Pulse Amplitude Modulation with 4 levels) signaling

- Focusing on the channel parameters and reach

- Improving power efficiency

- Continuing to deliver the low-latency and high-reliability targets

- Maintaining backwards compatibility with all previous generations of PCIe technology
