FEX 2503 Brings Fixes & Multi-Block By Default For x86_64 Linux Binaries On ARM64

([Free Software] 6 Hours Ago FEX 2503 Emulator)

FEX 2503 is out as the newest monthly update to this open-source emulator that enables the ability to run Linux x86_64 binaries on Linux ARM64 (AArch64) hosts.

The FEX 2503 release fixes 3DNOw! reciprocal precision on hardware supporting the ARM64 "RPRES" feature, fixes the FEXServer background startup, and optimizes SHA instruction usage by using the ARM SHA instructions on capable hardware.

FEX 2503 now enables the multi-block option by default. This option had been disabled due to bugs within the FEX Just-In-Time (JIT) handling but now that is all cleared up and in turn the multi-block usage allows the JIT compiler to compile more code at once. The hope is games and other software will be running faster with multi-block enabled by default. Opening up more gaming to ARM64 continues to be one of the main focal points for the FEX-Emu project.

FEX 2503 has also introduced a Tracy back-end to help with tracing and profiling performance issues:

`Go to it,' it said, `and good luck.'
It was cross-referenced to the entry concerning the size of
